Acupuncture is the oldest form of professional medicine practiced in the world, used to treat more than two billion people worldwide for more than 3,000 years. Based on the idea that the body has a circulating energy force, your health is based on how energy (qi) circulates through the body. Illness and pain occur when this flow is blocked or damaged. Acupuncture restores the flow of qi and brings the body back into a balanced, functional state. Read more...

Shamanic Healing is a powerful method in discovering undercurrents of larger imbalances, as well as genetic and/or karmic issues that may be playing a role in illness. The session can provide connection to deeper insight and patterns in your life, discovery, illumination, and return of fragmented parts of your self that may have been lost through illness or trauma. Difficult, spiritual, or long-term illnesses that have not been assisted through more traditional means often do well with this work.

Reiki is a clothed, no-touch or light touch modality that works with the energy flows through the meridians and chakras of the body, as well as the outer layers, or auric layers and background field of the body. Reiki is excellent at reducing stress and quieting an overactive mind and body.

Zero Balancing is a clothed, light touch modality that combines Western anatomical thought of the structure of the body (bones, joints, ligaments) with Eastern energetic thoughts of the body (qi, meridians, flow of energy).  Zero Balancing works to bring the body back to a “zero point”, a place of physical and energetic alignment, before physical, emotional, and/or spiritual trauma began causing imbalance in the body, and to bring a clear strong flow of energy through the body as a whole. Your session will incorporate light touch, finger pressure (acupressure) and held stretches (fulcrums).

Other techniques which may be utilized during your session:

Visceral Manipulation evaluates and works with the organs, fascia, membranes, and ligaments of the body, releasing functional and structural imbalances throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive, and lymphatic dysfunction. Gentle manipulations will improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the body as a whole.

Chikly Brain Curriculum is a noninvasive manual therapy that directly addresses specific structures of the brain and spinal cord. Through the use of gentle palpation, tissues and fluid of the brain are identified and worked with. By releasing restrictions on this level, the brain, spinal cord and central nervous system are able to return to higher levels of functioning.

SomatoEmotional Release (SER) is a mind-body technique which allows for the release of the emotional layers of past traumas that are still present in the body. Dialoguing with specific areas of restriction in the body is done to allow for the body to recognize and release the conflicts that are delaying your full return to a healthy, balanced, and more functional state.

Chinese Herbal Medicine is a powerful tool in your path to wellness. A custom made, individualized herbal formula, consisting of between four and twenty herbs, will be made to address your concerns. I will work with your current medications, dietary restrictions, and nutritional supplements to provide safe and appropriate care. Nutritional Guidance may be given from a Chinese Medicine perspective, including colors, types, and flavors of foods to eat as well as avoid that will assist with your specific needs.

Cupping is the application of a glass or plastic cup to an area of pain, utilizing a vacuum mechanism which draws the skin and musculature into the cup, allowing for greater circulation, alleviation of muscular restriction, pain, and trigger points has a detoxification effect and assists in lymphatic drainage.

Guasha, known as “gentle scraping” is done with the round edge of a spoon to alleviate pain, release fever, promote flow and release areas of the body that are stagnant.
