Lymphatic Drainage

The lymphatic system is a complex network of vessels and ducts that move fluid throughout the body. It is responsible for moving toxins and plays a large role in immunity. The focus of lymphatic drainage consists of manual work with specific lymph nodes in the body, and balancing the natural flow of the lymphatic system as a whole.

Visceral (Organ) Manipulation

When an organ cannot move the way it was intended to in the body, it works against the body's other organs and other structures. This disharmony creates points of tension that the body is forced to move around. This results in postural distortion, neuromuscular dysfunction, disease processes, and pain. Gentle manipulations will improve the functioning of individual organs, the systems the organs function within, and the body as a whole.

Massage and Bodywork

Massage and Bodywork allows for relief of pain, dysfunction, and stress processes in the body. Massage can be geared towards specific pains and aches in the body and has added benefits of  improving overall circulation and assisting your body's natural immune processes. Massage  can also be used to ease stress related illnesses, including depression, anxiety, and fatigue, improve sleep, and can help you feel more balanced, whole, and present in your body.

Please note, we are no longer accepting new patients for Massage/Bodywork only appointments, however Massage may be a part of your Acupuncture, CranioSacral, Energy Work, or Manual Therapy session.

Cupping

Suction is applied through a glass or plastic cup, creating a vacuum mechanism which draws the skin and musculature up around and under the cup. This allows the body to restore circulation, alleviate muscular restriction, trigger points and binding, alleviate pain, has a detoxification effect as well as assists in lymphatic drainage.

Guasha

Gentle scraping is done with the edge of a round spoon to alleviate pain, release fever, promote flow and release areas of the body that are stagnant.
