Suction is applied through a glass or plastic cup, creating a vacuum mechanism which draws the skin and musculature up around and under the cup. This allows the body to restore circulation, alleviate muscular restriction, trigger points and binding, alleviate pain, has a detoxification effect as well as assists in lymphatic drainage. Suitable for most people, cupping is especially indicated for those with chronic and acute pain patterns.
Cupping is included in the price of other services, but has a cost of $30 for a stand-alone appointment.
