Acupuncture is the oldest form of professional medicine practiced in the world, used to treat more than two billion people worldwide for over 2000 years.
Based on the idea that the body has a circulating energy force, your health is based on how energy (qi) circulates throughout the entire body. Illness occurs when this flow is blocked or damaged. Acupuncture is extremely effective at restoring the flow of of qi throughout the body and bringing the whole body back into a balanced, functional state.
Growing increasingly popular in the United States, acupuncture is recognized by the World Health Organization for treatment of over two dozen conditions, including but not limited to: allergies, adverse reactions to chemotherapy/radiotherapy, headache, chronic pain issues, digestive disorders, and depression.
Mary is uniquely qualified to combine acupuncture with other modalities for maximum therapeutic effect, including an AcuBodywork session which includes 60 minutes of massage with 30 minutes of Acupuncture.
Acupuncture is safe, effective, and has minimal side effects. Please view our FAQ’s for more information.

Along with your acupuncture or bodywork session a technique called cupping may be indicated.
Acupuncturists and bodyworkers use cupping to stimulate acupuncture points and alleviate chronic and acute pain.
Suction is applied through a glass or plastic cup, creating a vacuum mechanism which draws the skin and musculature up around and under the cup. This allows the body to restore circulation, alleviate muscular restriction, trigger points and binding, alleviate pain, has a detoxification effect as well as assists in lymphatic drainage. Suitable for most people, cupping is especially indicated for those with chronic and acute pain patterns.
Cupping is included in the price of other services, but has a cost of $30 for a stand-alone appointment.
Curious about cupping? Try it with your massage- book an AcuBodywork session, great for pain relief, which is a 60 minute massage and 30 minutes of Acupuncture or cupping.
