I have always been interested in the energetics and subtleties of the world around me, and formally began studying chakras, energy work, and meditation fifteen years ago as a way to understand what was happening in my own body as well as the world as a whole.
Early in my professional career I became increasingly frustrated due to a illness that was not responding to conventional means, and began to look for a solution outside of mainstream medicine. I explored many forms of physical and energy medicines and began a path of intensive study of the modalities that helped me in my pursuit of health, wholeness and balance.
In the past 12 years, I have worked as an independent Reiki practitioner and teacher, been a clinical supervisor for a massage school, and a private and group meditation teacher. I have worked in conjunction with chiropractors, medical doctors, and physical therapists, and have studied with modern and indigenous healers from the United States, South America, Africa, and Ireland. I am very thankful for the teachers, guides, and educational institutions that I have had the chance to study with.
Along with maintaining a practice in Evanston, I am a freelance writer and painter who considers being of service to others in their path to health, balance, and wholeness to be the ultimate form of artistry.
